Valid documents as Proof of Identity (POI)

Which photo IDs we accept and what a clear submission looks like.

Updated over 3 months ago

Verifying your identity keeps your account secure and helps us meet legal and AML requirements. We only accept original, valid photo IDs and a quick selfie/liveness check when prompted. This confirms the account belongs to you and protects your funds.

What you can submit?

We accept one of the following government-issued photo IDs:

  • Passport (photo page)

  • Driver’s license (front and back)

  • National/government ID card (front and back)

Your document must be valid and unexpired, and it must show your full name, date of birth, clear photo, and expiry date.

Photo standards (read before you upload)

Send clear color photos of your ID. We don’t accept screenshots, scans, black-and-white images, or edited files.

Follow these tips for a fast approval:

  • Place the ID on a flat, dark surface in good light.

  • Keep all four edges visible; don’t crop the image.

  • Avoid glare, shadows, and fingers covering details.

  • For two-sided IDs, upload both sides.

  • Make sure details are readable: name, DOB, photo, expiry, document number.

If your account name doesn’t match your ID, upload a supporting document that explains the change (e.g., marriage certificate or legal name-change document).

How to submit

  1. Go to My Account→ Verify.

  2. Upload the required ID photos (front and back if applicable).

  3. Complete any requested selfie/liveness check to confirm the ID is yours.

What happens next

  • We review the images to confirm authenticity and readability.

  • If something is missing or unclear, we’ll ask for a new photo or an additional document.

  • In some cases, we may request a short video selfie or further checks to complete verification.

Common issues and quick fixes

  • Blurry or dark photos → Retake in brighter light; clean your camera lens.

  • Edges cut off → Re-frame so all corners are visible.

  • Glare from flash → Turn off flash or change angle.

  • Expired ID → Use a valid, unexpired document.

  • Name mismatch → Add a name-change proof.

Privacy and security

We store verification data securely and only use it for compliance, fraud prevention, and account safety. We retain records as required by AML and regulatory rules.
